December 12, 2015 marks Frank Sinatra's centennial birthday. During his six-decade-plus career, he performed on more than 1,400 records and won nine Grammy Awards — bolstering my opinion that no one could swagger, swing and sing like the Chairman of the Board!

The world has been gearing up for this auspicious occasion since early this year.
  • The Morrison Hotel Gallery in New York exhibited Sinatra-inspired paintings by Peter Max in February, and an exhibition of rare Sinatra family photos in March .
  • The Grammy Museum’s exhibit “Sinatra: An American Icon” was featured at Lincoln Center from March 4 to September 4.
  • “All Or Nothing At All,” a 2-part documentary premiered on HBO in April.
  • In May, the San Francisco Giants celebrated “Frank Sinatra Tribute Night” in honor of the man who left his heart there.
  • Over the summer, Warner Brothers released a 5-film collection on Blu-Ray.
  •  In November, the 4-CD boxed set entitled “Frank Sinatra: A Voice On Air” was released, tracing the singer’s evolution with more than 100 tracks.
  • The star was feted at an over-the-top all-star gala on December 2 in — where else? — Las Vegas!
  • On December 12, Frank Sinatra Jr., backed by an entire orchestra, will perform a tribute concert honoring his legendary father with an evening of classic songs at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills — what a show that will be!
Obviously, true Sinatra-lovers can never get enough! All of this goes a long way in satisfying everyone — from long-time followers like me to people who are just now discovering the enchanting magic of Ol’ Blue Eyes.
